\n\nWe’ve collected the trading statistics and equity curve of Mao Yong Lang below.
\n\n\nYou may recall from our Stage 1 blog post about Mao Yong Lang that their focus is 100% on trading Gold. Have you seen the interview with him yet? Click here to access the interview on how he trades, his mindsight behind the strategies, and what he attributes his results to.
\n\n\nMao struggled early on in August, with his trading strategy seemingly unable to sync with the price action on Gold.
\n\n\nBut what you cannot see in that graph is that Mao stopped trading from the 6th of August until he picked up again on the 27th of August.
\n\n\nOn resuming his trading, he placed a series of 20 consecutive winning trades, resulting in gains of $2,818.40.
\n\n\nThen on the 28th of August, he placed 40 consecutive winning trades, resulting in gains of $1656.30, catapulting his account to more than $6,300.
\n\n\nCongratulations again to Mao Yong Lang, who has cemented his position as one of the best and most consistent traders we’ve ever seen.
\n\n\nCongratulations to Jinguo Ye, who placed second in Stage 3.
\n\n\nWe covered Jinguo’s trading statistics more comprehensively in the blog post earlier this week.
\n\n\nThe intensity of trading activity and high win rate is unlike anything we have seen in this trading competition.
\n\n\nIt just goes to show how many different styles of trading have the potential to hit the top of the leaderboard.
\n\n\nCongratulations to Wei Wei Yang for placing third. An incredible result and such a consistent equity curve.
\n\n\nWe were hoping that Wei Wei Yang would win, as they were so consistent all through August with their trading activity and consistently rising equity curve.
\n\n\nBut as you can see from their equity curve, a late series of losses hampered their chance to claim the number 1 position.
\n\n\nCongratulations to the top 5 in Stage 3, who all qualify for the Grand Final, which is to be held in an exotic location, fitting for the caliber of traders we have.
\n\n\nSince Mao Long Yang and Haidong Liu have already qualified, we can extend invites further down the leaderboard.
\n\n\n1. Jinguo Ye
\n\n\n2. Wei Wei Yang
\n\n\n3. Hai Ting li
\n\n\n4. Christopher Carter
\n\n\nAugust saw plenty of trending markets pull back and become more volatile to trade.
\n\n\nAs you can see by the leaderboard, the results were not as impressive as in previous months.
\n\n\nAnd due to two traders already qualifying, Grand Final spots opened up to 7th place, with a return of 2.95%.
\n\n\nThis means had you generated a return of 3% for the month (which is still an exceptional return for 31 days), you would have earned a spot in the Grand Final.
\n\n\nThe reality is, each month is different, and you never know how your result may surprise you.
\n\n\nYou may be better than what you think you are at trading.
